2026 Golden Trailer Awards: A Night of Creative Excellence

The best in entertainment marketing took center stage at the 2026 Golden Trailer Awards, celebrating standout movie trailers, promos, print campaigns, and the creative talent behind them. Held at the Saban Theater for the first time since 2014, the 27th annual event was hosted by comedian Morgan Jay, best known for his auto-tuned audience heckling. He even got a stab in at our VP, Film/TV & Sampling, Adam Weitz, while making the rounds through the audience! His comedic delivery was a big hit among the crowd and paired well with the open bar and abundance of free candy handed out while filing into the theater.
A total of 119 awards were up for grabs in categories spanning many categories of entertainment marketing. The biggest winner of the evening was for MGM’s Project Hail Mary which took home five total trophies, including the sought after Best in Show award.
Sinners and Weapons took home three awards each, which highlights a strong affinity for Horror movie marketing. Disney won a total of twenty-nine awards across a staggering 144 nominations, topping the studio award counts.

Other highly nominated productions included HBO’s It: Welcome to Derry and FX’s Alien: Earth, which were nominated for 9 and 8 awards, respectively.
AV Squad earned the Golden Trailer Awards Agency of the Year three consecutive years in a row, winning every year since the category’s introduction in 2024. The competition is tight with so many standout agencies producing innovative content; it is not an enviable position to have to choose just one!
