Halloween is upon us and to some, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! Horror is the fastest rising film genre with its popularity doubling in the last ten years. With the evolution of television now becoming cinema’s longform binge-worthy companion, this trend has resulted in a larger number of horror-themed series on the current TV slate.
APM Music has a long history of scoring some of the most classic Horror-themed TV shows including True Blood, The Walking Dead, The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, The Outsider, Locke & Key, Lovecraft Country, Castle Rock, and Jordan’s Peele’s Twilight Zone reboot. Here are the top 10 placements in Horror-themed TV shows airing now:
10. Interview with a Vampire – AMC’s adaptation of Anne Rice’s gothic horror tale has all the ingredients for a small screen classic: love, immortality, New Orleans, and vampires. Here are some of our favorite placements in the series:
9. Them – Each of the two seasons of Them takes place in a specific time period (1953 and 1991) in Los Angeles. These archival tracks add authenticity to the time periods in which these gruesome tales take place:

2. American Horror Story (Franchise) – This twisted and captivating Horror series from the mind of Ryan Murphy never disappoints! We’re ready for Season 13 in 2025 and have voraciously devoured the American Horror Stories spin-off episodes that just dropped. Check out these APM Music gems from both series:
1. Stranger Things – This Netflix series is a TV phenomenon that has clocked 1.8 billion hours of streaming. Not only has it broken viewership records, but the soundtrack has given artists like Kate Bush and Metallica a new army of fans.
